Meet Coach Aaron "Esco" Escobedo

Coach "Esco"
Coach Aaron Escobedo is a lifelong student of the game whose baseball journey began at just 5 years old. A standout at Mater Dei High School, he earned MVP honors, a Gold Glove, and was later inducted into the school's Baseball Hall of Fame. He continued his career at Santa Ana JC, earning All-American status and multiple league titles, before earning a full-ride scholarship to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Though his collegiate playing career ended unexpectedly, the lessons he learned shaped his purpose: to teach young athletes how to succeed both on and off the field.
Aaron spent 13 years in law enforcement, gaining powerful leadership skills in communication, problem-solving, and mentorship—tools he now brings to his coaching philosophy.
He’s coached at the high school and travel ball levels for years, including roles at Mater Dei, Tustin, and now as the Varsity Infield Coach at Villa Park High School. Coach Aaron believes in developing strong men through strong mindsets, creating a safe and supportive environment where players can thrive as athletes and individuals.
"Faith is the foundation to my coaching & leadership because as someone who has fallen, I personally know what it means to be restored and led by The Lord. In this day and age, youth sports has prioritized performance; I coach to coach from identity. I want my young men to be set apart and know who they are before they know how to compete."
